A Historical Palace in Boka Bay

In 1826 work was completed on Palace Milosevic especially built for the famous Milosevic brothers who were important ship builders and sea captains. The palace was built for Duro Vidov’s family and llija Filipov family, although one large building it was always separated with two entrances. The part for sale is from the Duro Vildov’s side of the family and has unobstructed first line views of the bay.

Situated in Dobrota less than 1km from the UNESCO protected Old town of Kotor, this palace was the last and tallest palace built in Boka Bay. It is a protected listed building of historical importance. It was built with the finest stone from Korcula in Croatia and to this day and for many days more it remains in perfect condition.

Dimensions and Size:

This tall building has four floors plus usable attic space giving a total inside usable space of 580 square meters.

The land surrounding the structure is a further 542 square meters, therefore in total the plot size is 685 square meters.

There is space at the back for ample parking of 6 cars, plus a front two tiered terrace all contained within private old stone walled borders ensuring maximum privacy.

The application has been submitted for the rebuilding of the original punta/moorings on the sea frontage.

Reconstruction & Design:

With access from both the front and back roads reconstruction of this building is relatively straightforward. Internal floors will need to be reinstated plus the roof but the actual building structure (walls and windows) are in sound condition so no actual stone work needs take place, which is the most costly job when restoring historic buildings like this.

The inside space can be used to either create apartments or just one open plan living area, plans have been drawn up for both scenarios but really this space is a blank canvas and can suit any family type.

Summary:

To purchase this property is to own a piece of architectural heritage from a time of great construction and craftsmanship in one of the most beautiful bays in the world. This is a one-off property that can never be replicated or constructed like this again.
